芒街市是越南北方靠近中国的一个小城，属越南广宁省，位于越南东北部，北与中国广西东兴市接壤。越南的芒街市与中国的东兴市相隔一条友谊桥，步行150米就能够互相往来。芒街市的面积520平方公里，人口10.8万，共有17个行政单位(7个坊,10个乡)。主要民族为京族。芒街所在的越南广宁省经济比较发达，是越南新兴的经济特区，拥有越南北方最大的边贸市场。农业以种植为主，工业以矿业为主。这里是越南主要的煤炭生产基地，盛产优质无烟煤。
芒街领袖培训事工的的成立乃在于培训华人教会领袖，积极参与越中边界的福音事工，即在芒街向华人传福音，亦在东兴兴旺福音；建立基督门徒，彼此守望，配搭服侍，建立教会。我们相信认识神是每一个基督徒一生追求的生命经历，也是个灵命成长的恩典旅程。我们将以短期学习班，海外短宣和资源分享，三方面的渠道为导向，积极推动芒街领袖培训事工。
Mong Cai Leadership Training
Mong Cai is a town in northern Vietnam bordering Guangxi, China. The town is only separated by a 150-meter long Friendship Bridge with Dongxing, the border town on the Chinese side. Mong Cai covers an area of 520 sq km and has a population of 108,000. The town was divided into 17 administrative regions (7 plazas and 10 villages), with Jing tribe being the main ethnic group in the town. Quang Ninh Province where Mong Cai is located, is a special economic zone and it handles the bulk of the border trade with China. Crop plantation is its chief agricultural activity, while mining is the dominant industrial activity. This is also where Vietnam's major coal production area lies and of which the well-known superior "smokeless" coal – anthracite is produced.
Mong Cai Leadership Training Centre was set up to train and equip Chinese church leaders to take on an active evangelistic role across the borders i.e. to preach the Gospel to both the Chinese in Mong Cai and Dongxing. Another objective was to train Chinese Christians so that they would return to Dongxing to preach the gospel, conduct discipleship training, and serving God and one another in church and the various ministries.
We believe that knowing God is not just a life journey pursued by every Christian, it is also a journey of grace in one's spiritual growth. We seek to achieve the above objectives by a three-prone approach: compact classroom learning, overseas short-term mission trips and resource-sharing.
